What should I do about a man who announces sins of others to the world in public?

Recently, my fiancee and I went to M. Afterwards, we walked to the local grocery store and another parishoner told us in public at the store, LOUDLY enough for all to hear, how we should go to confession, NEVER receive the Eucharist and not go to church at all because we live together and are not married yet. Is that for him to announce to the world or is there something in the new theology that says to embar others in public. I know I am being sarcastic, but this really is pissing me off.Should I continue to go to M and risk more embarment or should I just forget about going back altogether?
