Can work boots with a logger heel be resoled with a normal heel?

i've got a pair of thorogood workboots with a lugged vibram sole and a logger heel that was great when i was working on metal ladders a lot, but now that i spend most of my time on the ground, i don't care for such a high heel. would a shoe shop be able to resole them and put a normal heel on, or are the shoes rockered for a high heel and would never feel right without one?
