Can a vasectomy be reversed if performed ten years ago?
Absolutely, but it is less likely to be successful. That doesn't mean there isn't any chance of it working though. If you check out my first source, you will find for a vasectomy reversed after 10 years, the success rate of return of some sperm is 79% and the success rate for pg is 44% . That is much better than the 0.0025% chance you have right now of the vasectomy failing. Some men jump right to IVF when they want to father a child so many years after vasectomy. The problem with that is that IVF is very expensive, sperm aspiration isn't something that is "fun", and IVF can have you end up with a pregnancy of multiples (think of the octomom!) because the doctors will often implant more than one embryo hoping that at least one will "stick". A better choice is to try the reversal with a skilled microsurgeon that specializes in VV and VE reconnections. Bank sperm at the time of reversal for later use if the VR doesn't work. GL
