My Boyfriend is 10 years older than me?

I am inna long distance relationship with the father of my 7 week old son and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they tink the relationships would work. He is 40 and I am 30. i am hoping that regardless of age, teh relationship could takeoff. I just had our son and he doesnt think we should live together. He says he is a bachelor and likes it that way. Am I setting my self up for failure believeng taht it will work. We are of different religins as well and may have siome disagreement on how we will raise our son. Is there anyone who could help.
