Syria: why no action from UN, EU or NATO?

So we have been fighting in Libya for many weeks now, at the cost of millions. But the same thing is happening in Syria, mourners, children being brutally murdered at funerals, in the street yet no action has been taken by any organsation as the UN and NATO did with Libya....why? It sickens me that we support one nation/persons to stop their extermination but we watch another be mercilessly murdered.
